About Us

Mohamed el Roubi, Principal

Mohamed el Roubi is an experienced executive and senior lawyer and a specialist in governance, risk and compliance, business resilience, corporate restructuring, M&A and issues management. He has broad commercial, legal, governance, risk and compliance experience across a range of industries operating in a multi-jurisdictional context.


As a successful member of senior executive management teams at Orascom Telecom, General Electric, Amec Foster Wheeler, GardaWorld, and Seeing Machines, Mohamed has contributed to business strategy and management beyond functional responsibilities, and has provided impactful legal support for countless initiatives over twenty six years. Mohamed has worked extensively throughout five continents and has a particular focus on complex and ambiguous legal and operating environments including the Middle East and Africa.


A bi-lingual (English/Arabic) Northeastern University School of Law graduate, Mohamed has both corporate and private practice experience, and is admitted to practice as an attorney and counsellor at law in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia, and as a lawyer in New South Wales. He holds an unrestricted private practising certificate in the ACT and is registered as a practitioner with the High Court of Australia.  Mohamed is also a seasoned data protection and privacy officer. 


Mohamed is  an experienced independent non-executive director, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  He is currently a Councillor and Treasurer of the Council of the Law Society of the Australian Capital Territory, and is Vice Chair of the Australian Press Council.  From 2016 to 2022 he served on the Board Risk and Compliance Committee of ACWA Power, a major Saudi Arabian multi-national independent power and water producer.  From 2021 to 2024 Mohamed served as Vice President of Mental Illness Education ACT Incorporated, an ACNC regulated ACT based mental health education charity.
